About Northern Adult Riding Club

The first rally of the Northern Adult Riding Club was held on May 26, 1991, at the Westbury Showgrounds with four instructors donating their time to help riders.

Groups were rotated through theory, flat-work, jumping and activities, which is the format still used today.

Objectives

The objective of the club is to provide the opportunity for adults to improve their equestrian skills and to organise rally days for members, where quality instruction is provided at a minimal price.

Trail rides, social functions, gymkhanas and other special events are decided upon each season in response to member feedback.

Organisation

The Club is run by a committee who are elected at the Annual General Meeting. The committee give their time on a voluntary basis and meet once a month to conduct the business of the club.

Committee members are open to new ideas and encourage members to actively contribute with feedback. Newsletters are produced each month for members.
